The volunteers of the shelter “Domik” learned about this old and seriously ill cat from the internet. The owners threw this old Persian cat into the street. Fortunately, old ladies were feeding him. But because of the illness he got weaker and more helpless. The poor cat needed to be saved.
The volunteers found the cat in the street and took him to the vets. He turned out to be old, but not so much as it seemed from first sight. Just because of a lot of illnesses he looked so bad, that could hardly move. Otitis, muscles torn in the shoulder blade, multiple infections, teeth missing almost completely, suspicion of serious kidney problems. One could only guess how hard it was for the purebred cat with such a set of problems to survive in the streets.
The cat was named Pelmeni, a name that suited his strange appearance. First thing first the cat had to be recovered and put on paws, what the vets did. Very soon little Pelmeni was able to open his eyes and eat with great appetite.
With the agreement of the vets, Pelmeni moved to Yelena for home-treatment. Here kitty feels even more relaxed and comfortable. He began to acquire new soft fur like a staffed toy and released his affectionate, very kind and calm character.
This is how our handsome little Pelmeni looks after a full course of treatment, living in reliable hands. Quite difficult to recognize in him that compassionate and unfortunate stray cat from the photo in the beginning.
The new owners of Pelmeni were not late. Having learned his tragic history, Oksana decided to give him a house. The Persian cat quickly made friends with the children and other cats in the apartment. He appreciated it and began to spend most of his time in peace, lying down and eating healthy.
Today pelmeni is a fluffy and happy pet. His fate was not easy, but had a very happy end. We just should be happy for Pelmeni and his owners.
