“I think property burdens a person. Besides, it’s a target for attacks. People say ‘Hey, billionaire! You have everything’. And here I am with nothing”, said Elon Musk in an interview, where he announced his decision. At that time, the entrepreneur owned 7 houses.
Elon managed to sell his last house only in June: a huge mansion with an area of 1,500 sq. m. The mansion Guignécourt has a 100-year-long history, so it was a tasty morsel for many. However, Musk had to significantly reduce the price to get rid of the house as soon as possible. It’s interesting, that the name of its new owner is still unknown.
Now, Elon Musk officially has no shelter, but the billionaire solved the problem in his own style. At the moment, he rents a modular house from his own company – SpaceX. Manufactured by Boxabl, this house is only 35 square meters and consists of one single room. According to the creators, it is highly economical.
Those, who want to get a shelter like this, have to invest $50 000. This, by the way, is cheaper than the brand new model of Tesla. The house is made of concrete panels and steel. It is a one-room flat with an open living room, kitchen, bedroom and a bathroom. So it is, in fact, just a small box.
Boxable hasn’t officially confirmed that they sold the house to Elon Musk. However, it was recently rumored, that they were designing a room for a very important and secret client. According to insiders, the house is at the SpaceX starbase in Boca Chica, and Musk is actually living there.
It’s also rumored, that Musk is considering using such constructions to colonize Mars. But, unfortunately, it’s too early to talk about it. The billionaire once again surprised the public and his fans, but we all realize that we are waiting for completely different news from him.
