When a volunteer from one of the animal shelters in the state of Tennessee went out to feed stray cats, that often came to her in search of food, she couldn’t believe her eyes – there was a cage on the grass with an unfortunate dog in it sadly looking at the stranger.
There was so much pain and despair in his eyes that it was impossible to pass by him. It was heart-braking.
But who in the world could throw a living being like this, in a cage without food and water? That day it was really hot outside and even in the evening, after the sunset, there was stuffiness in the air.
Next to the cage there was a note which told that the dog’s name was Chubs and that the owners couldn’t keep him in the house. For what reason they abandoned the dog, was not mentioned. Although one thing was clear – they didn’t need the dog. Perhaps they thought it would be better for the dog to be taken by someone else. But still, to leave the animal in a cage… was it the only way out from a difficult situation?
An interesting thing is that the owners had mentioned about the vaccinations that the dog supposedly was given. The volunteers doubted it – who would give vaccinations to the dog they planned to abandon?
However, this was not the most interesting part. The fact that a volunteer found him and could somehow help – that was a real miracle! Some time later Chubs was already in the animal shelter, where he enjoyed food and peace. By the way, his fur was covered with some kind of oil that’s why the dog had to undergo a couple of unpleasant procedures to wash off the fur. But after showering he felt much better and his sad look turned into hope for positive changes.
Now the dog is in the animal shelter and is named Squiggy. A new life is waiting for him. Kind-hearted people will be found by the volunteers that will surely adopt him.
Well, and the person who was so cruel to the dog, will probably remember his amazing doggo again and again, especially when they see him on Facebook.
