The dog named Blackie is 10 years old. He has a serious illness – a tumor on his tail, and even bleeding. But the owners, as it became clear, did not want this blood to stain their car at all. That’s why they put the dog in a plastic bag and took it to the shelter closest to their house.
The name of this shelter is “Carson Animal Shelter”. It is located in Gardena (California, USA). The owners of the dog brought the former pet inside the shelter and left it that way…
A girl named Kelly Smishek is the head of the Frosted Faces Foundation (FFF). This rescue group is located in San Diego.
Kelly says that the shelter workers saw a dog named Blackie wrapped in a bag. This was done so that the wound from which the blood was flowing would not stain everything around.
The volunteers put Blackie in a kennel in the section of the shelter where the medical unit is located. Fortunately, the dog did not have to be here for a long time. A video about a dying dog was played on local television. And then the volunteers from FFF came to the animal shelter “Carson” and took the poor dog to themselves.
Blackie sorrowed so much. But the dog was not angry and remained friendly in relationships with people.
He is curious, wants to communicate with people and make them happy. Such a review about the dog was given by Smishek. It was obvious that for a very long time, Blackie’s good intentions in relationships with people haven’t received any reciprocity.
And now Blackie’s realized pretty quickly that she is in good hands. Because she was able to feel relaxed next to Kelly and other employees of the rescue group.
When the dog was being taken to the FFF, she was fast asleep all the way. And when she arrived at the place, she met all the members of the team. Blackie wanted to get to know everyone as soon as possible and sniff every corner of his new home.
Initially, the volunteers shaved Blackie…
… and washed her properly…
… then they shortened her sharp claws…
…and fed delicious food.
Blackie liked the attention and care. But the tumor still brings her great pain.
Kelly said that while being washed Blackie showed that she was uncomfortable when we touched her tail.
Soon this dog will be taken to a veterinary hospital. They will perform an operation there. Kelly is sure that Blackie will recover completely soon. And if the dog strikes it lucky, then they will find her a new home with good owners.

And she added that the entire rescue team and those who support Blackie online will be proud, if they manage to find a real home for the dog.
In the meantime, Blackie is swimming in an ocean of love, which is given to her by volunteers from FFF.
