A person’s height depends on many factors. That’s why even among the nations that usually are short, sometimes giants are born.
It’s not a secret that Chinese people are shorter than others. However, the tallest person in the world is from China!
It’s interesting, that Bao Xishun developed just like any other kid. Only after his transitional age he became noticeably taller than his peers. Now the man is 256cm tall!
Only Bao is not so excited about his feature. Because of this, it’s hard for him to find a job, and he has been working as a shepherd all his life. Besides, until 56 the man was single and couldn’t find a partner.
And finally in 2007 he married a saleswoman named Xia Shujuan, who is much younger and shorter than him.
Soon after the marriage the couple had a son. Many people think the boy will definitely take after the father. The parents will be just happy if he’s tall. They dream that their son becomes a basketball player. 
Now the boy is 13 and has a normal height. But Bao remembers that until 15 he was also no different than his peers, so maybe everything changes.
