This year in September, this veteran from Delaware had a heart attack. The man was hospitalized, and his dogs Bailey and Blaze were left at home and had no one to take care of them.
Volunteers from animal rescue center came to help the veteran and his beloved dogs. They took care of the dogs while their owner was in hospital. About 6 months passed, but the man was not getting any better. The old man was still too weak to look after the dogs and himself. So the dogs were sent to an animal shelter to find them new owners.
However, fate had other plans. When the happy old man was out of the hospital, Bailey and Blaze were still in the shelter waiting for their owner.
The first thing the man did was to head for the shelter to take his dogs back. However, the shelter employees told him incredible news that just shocked the man. In order to take his dogs back, the man had to first of all pay $250. It seemed like a total stranger had gone to take the dogs. Moreover, they gave him few days to make the payment. The veteran didn’t have so much money, so he came back the next day to ask for some extra days.
Near the animal shelter there was a shop PetSmart. The shop employees had a nice surprise for the man. They contacted the man and told him, he could take his dogs back at any moment absolutely for free!
As it turned out later, a woman was deeply touched by the man’s attempts to take his dogs back from the shelter. She gathered together some volunteers. With their help, she could gather enough money to pay for the dogs, as well as some toys and pet food. As you can guess, the man was over the moon!
The good things didn’t stop here. Many strangers having heard of this story still keep sending the man all the necessities for keeping his four-legged friends.
This is another proof, that there are kind people in the world.
