Hollywood actor Johnny Depp won seven million dollars case against his ex-wife Amber Heard. After their divorce, Heard accused Depp in domestic violence and numerous beatings. However, the actor filed a libel suit and stated that all the evidence against him was fabricated, and his wife repeatedly cheated on him.
Heard was supposed to donate 7 million dollars, received from Depp, to charity after the divorce. However, the actor’s lawyers claimed that the actress had lied about it. This could have influenced the court’s final decision in the libel case, which Depp lost last year.
According to the New York court, the American Civil Liberties Union is now obliged to publish documents that confirm donations from the actress, writes USA TODAY.
“Mr. Depp is satisfied by the court’s verdict”, the actor’s lawyer Benjamin Chew commented on the decision.
