Save the kittens! Firefighters took 5 little cats out of the house and saved them!

Firefighters are amazing people! They risk their own lives to save not only people, but also animals…

On May 18, the fire service staff managed to save several kittens! Tia Hagnas, founder of the Alley Cats and Angels of North Carolina Animal Rescue Society, found out about this.

Little is known about the incident. Firefighters arrived to extinguish the house on fire, and there were kittens inside it.

The kids had already inhaled smoke, but they managed to avoid the worst – death from fire or lack of oxygen. Fire service workers used oxygen masks to bring the little things to their senses.

The pets were of different ages.

There were five survivors in total. Three of them looked no more than a few days old. The other two had already opened their eyes, but one of the kittens was clearly bigger than the others.

This meant that the babies were born from three different mothers. But where were they? Firefighters did not see any animals in the burning house, except for the five kittens. And the building turned out to be unsettled – now volunteers are looking or their owners.

We hope that the cats were not there at the time of the tragedy!

It was necessary to decide what to do with the pets next.

They were brought to Tia’s animal shelter so that the volunteers would take care of the kittens. They needed care and frequent feeding – every 2-3 hours.

The younger kittens turned out to be very weak. The veterinarian found a serious eye infection in the older kids, but they managed to quickly cope with this problem.

But with the small ones, everything was much more complicated. They did not feel well for the next two days after the rescue. Despite the efforts of the shelter staff, two kittens could not survive…

Three pets remained alive and are on the mend.

Now kittens eat well and are quickly gaining weight, which is good news.

As you can see, they are in a perfect condition! 🙂

The cute older ginger was given the nickname Quidditch. The red-haired kitten, which is slightly smaller, was called an Explosive Card, and the little black one was dubbed a Wizard. The volunteers turned out to be creative! 🙂

Despite the fact that babies are born by different mothers, they feel like brothers and sleep with their noses buried in each other’s woolen sides.

And firefighters are did a great job! Now the kittens will recover and be able to find a home. 🙂
