Today we want to share with you an incredible story about a swan who surprised everyone by hugging a man as a sign of gratitude for the rescue!
TV presenter Richard Wiese, who was walking through the Abbotsbury Nature Reserve, saw a swan that got stuck in a hedge, and could not get out on her own. When the man rescued the bird, she hugged him with her long flexible neck as a sign of gratitude and clung trustfully to the man.
“It’s an amazing feeling when a wild animal, in fact, suddenly trusts you so much!” said Richard. “I hugged the swan to my chest to make her feel safe.”
“I could feel her heart beating, it’s a really amazing feeling when an animal trusts you and you know it.””When it understands that you won’t do it any harm.”
