Some classmates looked at me like an animal…

Forcing yourself to be accepted by people is a waste of time…

In 1948, George McLaurin became the first black student at the University of Oklahoma. He had to sit away from his white classmates.

However, his name still stands on the honor roll as one of the 3 top students at the university. He admitted: “Some of my classmates looked at me as if I were an animal. No one talked to me. Teachers seemed to never be near me. They didn’t even answer the questions I had. However, I devoted myself so much that later they started seeking me out for explanations and clarifications.”

It’s a total waste of time forcing yourself to be accepted by people. You need to focus on yourself, increase your value, and people will turn to you for help…
