The number of puppies is enough to break records
When Eleanor Asher’s Rottweiler dog, named Jessie, was still pregnant, she was told to expect 6-8 puppies. Imagine their surprise, when 15 puppies appeared instead.
Turns out, this is the second largest brood in the UK. The largest one is 18 puppies. It took Jessie 7 hours to give birth to all of them.
Just imagine how the mom-dog felt after each puppy. Jessie’s owners, apparently, didn’t expect this many puppies. To put it mildly, they were shocked.
Jessie is a wonderful and strong mother. She doesn’t let anyone near the newborn puppies and does everything herself.
