Her kittens didn’t survive the birth, so she adopted others
This adorable gray cat was taken to a vet clinic, as she was about to give birth. Unfortunately, the babies didn’t survive the birth, and the mother was heartbroken. On the same day, a group of orphaned kittens appeared in the same vet clinic.
The poor kittens were in need of a new loving mother. The clinic staff wanted to see if the heartbroken mother cat would accept another cat’s kittens. So they put them all together, wo see what would happen.
This story took place in the shelter Best Buddies Felines in Sydney, Australia. One of the temporary caregivers, Sarah, decided to take the new family and look after them. The mother cat – Venus – was happy to accept the new babies.
The lonely days on the street were quite challenging for the newborn kittens. Sarah helped Venus take care of the babies, feed and keep them warm. Venus turned out to be a wonderful and responsible mother!
Venus witnessed how the kittens were growing up! She watched them as they were discovering how to use their paws, how to eat on their own and play together. She’s also trying to play with them. Venus spends most of her time with the kittens.
