10-minute conversation was enough to make the old man happy
The job of a waiter is in fact very stressful and difficult. Many of them happen to make new acquaintances but have no time to communicate with them further.
However, there are waiters who sometimes make exceptions. And one of these waiters is Dylan Tila.
One day, Dylan noticed an elderly man sitting in the cafe all alone. He approached the man to take his order, and suddenly knelt before him.
Next to their table there was a woman sitting. Her name was Lisa and she was curious to know what was happening. She heard that the man was a 91-year-old veteran.
The man told Dylan that he had lost his hearing during the WW2. He usually wore a hearing device but had forgotten it that day. Then he apologized to the waiter for talking too much, but he had no one else to talk to.
So Dylan had to kneel down before the old man so they could communicate. When he served the veteran’s order, Dylan asked the man to let him sit with him. The man was happy to have a companion and they spent some time chatting. They were talking about the veteran’s heroic deeds. He also told how he had lost his hearing.
Lisa, the woman next to them, took some photos of the sweet duo and shared them online. Hundreds of people praised Dylan for his kindness.
Even a 10-minute conversation was enough to make the old man happy.
