The dog protected the little girl from all dangers
This 3-year-old girl got lost in the wastelands in Australia, and a beautiful tale began here. Before the rescuers would arrive, the girl found herself a great companion. A deaf dog was next to her all the time and helped her survive the next 17 hours. The named of the dog was Max.
Aurora, the little girl, is from Queensland, Australia. In one Friday evening, Aurora surprisingly left the house at 3pm together with her dog, an Australian shepherd. Very soon it started to rain. And when the family noticed that their child was missing, they immediately started looking for her. However, the rain had already washed away all their traces. They kept looking for the girl for hours, but they had to take a break at night.
On Saturday, the news about the lost girl spread in the whole rural area and very soon some volunteers joined the search operation. The group found the girl safe and sound at 8am. At first, the rescuers came across a dog that led them to the missing girl.
Max had protected the girl from all dangers, so she was unharmed. In recognition of his great deed, Max was given the honorary title of the “Police Dog”.
One of the volunteers, Yann Phipps, reported the details of the rescue operation. Aurora’s house is surrounded by hills, which make the are dangerous for evening walks. And when they found out how far the girl had walked during the night, everyone was shocked.
Even Aurora’s grandmother took part in the rescue operation. She kept calling for the girl until finally little Aurora answered her. Then Max showed up in front of the group and led them to her. Everyone was in shock and their loud cries alarmed the girl. However, very soon they explained the girl that everything was fine and she was in safe hands.
Later it turned out that at that time Max was a 17-year-old dog. He is deaf and partially blind. Aurora and Max have been great friends for a really long time. He hugged the girl to keep her warm during the cold night.
