And the situation gets worldwide when a celebrity couple breaks up, because now their fans are the only one that cannot get over their breakups. Most of their fans believe that they were just perfect together and made for each other, and some just like the drama that they created.
Here are some of the most famous Hollywood couples of the ’90s that break up, leaving all their fans in a complete shock.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Robert Downey Jr.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Robert Downey Jr. first met each other in 1984, on set of the film “Firstborn”. At that time they were both 18 years old and still too young for a serous relationship. However, after only 8 weeks of dating, the couple moved in together. They, in fact, had a long-lasting relationship and seemed very happy. However, in 1991, the couple broke up mostly because of Robert’s addiction issues.
Later in 2008, Robert told during one of his interviews, that at that period of time he really liked drinking and even had drug addiction, and Sarah didn’t accept that. The woman understood his feelings and tried to help him and she got really mad when Robert didn’t get his act together. “I was in love with Sarah Jessica, but love clearly was not enough”, said Downey.
Robert Downey Jr. recovered from his addictions and has been sober since 2003, but the iconic couple never got back together. Now, Downey is married to producer Susan Downey and they have two children together. Sarah Jessica Parker has been faithfully married to Matthew Broderick since 1997. They have 3 children together.

Before his marriage to Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow used to be the Hollywood “It” couple. The young people met each other in 1994 on the set of the film “Se7en” for the first time. And shortly after their first encounter, they started dating. The iconic couple got engaged in 2006, but never made it down the aisle. They broke up six months after their engagement.
On “The Howard Stern Show” in 2015 Paltrow blamed their young age for the breakup. “I think I was a kid and I wasn’t ready. He was too good for me”, Paltrow mentioned. Gwyneth and Brad are now good friends.

Jennifer Lopez and Sean Combs (P. Diddy) started dating in 1999. J Lo had just released her debut album “On The 6” and started appearing on red carpets in coordinated outfits with the rapper. But their relationship was full of dramas apart from fashion. In the winter of 1999 were charged after a shooting in a club. Three people got injured during the shooting, a part of which was Sean Combs. The couple fled the crime scene, hiding the gun in their car and they both ended up in a serious legal trouble.
Over time the charges were dropped. However, the whole deal led people to spreading rumors about their breakup. But Lopez later revealed, that the incident was not the reason of their parting. She also mentioned, that she couldn’t catch him cheating, but she knew that for sure. One evening he said he was going to a club for a few hours, and didn’t come back that night.
Combs has mentioned several times, that Lopez has been one of his greatest loves. They are remaining good friends to this day. As you already know, Jennifer Lopez has restarted her relationship with Ben Affleck and now they are happily married.

The love story of Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder completely captivated the public in the ’90s. The couple first met each other in 1989, at the New York City film premiere of “Great Balls of Fire”. Johnny Depp has mentioned, that it was love at first sight.
In his 1991 interview with Rolling Stones, Depp revealed how everything happened: “It was a classic glance, like, the zoom lenses in West Side Story, and everything else gets foggy”.
