After a huge makeover, this house looks totally different. It’s hard to believe it was once a plain ranch-style house in the rural Cotswold area. But if you look closely, you’ll see the original building is still there, just fixed up and made bigger.
Henrietta Smart, the main architect on the project, believes in fixing up old buildings rather than tearing them down. She works at Charlie Luxton Design.
The owners also wanted to keep some of the old house while making it better. After comparing costs, they agreed with Henrietta’s plan to update the house rather than rebuild it.
