This old man, Ion Negrila, became an Internet star after a guy posted the photos of Ion’s house on his Facebook page. The guy was worried about Ion and posted this material on social network, hoping that some people would help the old man with the arrangement of a new house.
Local authorities more than once visited the man with an offer to help, but he always stubbornly refused them. As he says, he wants to stay there, because up to 2006 he lived there with his wife. Then she died tragically, so he honors her memory.
Ion refused to leave the place, even despite the fact that the roof could collapse at any moment. Together, caring people collected 1000 euros for a new house for the old man. As he categorically refused to leave, they put a small, but quite comfortable trailer on the site of the new house.
