10-year-old girl from Riverside wanted to hug her grandparents during the quarantine so much, that she came up with a brilliant idea!

The main thing is to be able to hug relatives!

For so many weeks in a row, we have all tried to somewhat follow the quarantine rules. And the main rule is no physical contact with other people. No handshakes, no hugs, no kisses, which extremely upset a girl from Riverside named Paige. She missed her grandparents so much, that she thought up a brilliant thing!

The main thing is to be able to hug relatives!

Technically, Paige saw the idea on the internet. Then she realized this idea, and with the help of her parents, created this curtain. A simple wrap, with holes for plastic sleeves, on both sides for hands to put in and hug a person. Such things have been used in labs for a long time, but everything there is one-sided, and Paige is proud that she came up with the idea of combining two layers. And now, both she and the grandparents are able to hug each other without touching anyone’s skin.

Of course, a lot of sceptics appeared. In fact, the protection was more symbolic than real. They had forgotten to fix the wrap from below. There is a wide gap visible. However, even the masks that millions of people wear now do not protect against COVID, but only minimize the risk. Wearing the mask, people are allowed to go out and socialize. Paige came up with another version of such symbolic protection, for which we are grateful to her!
