The woman was admitted to the hospital just before the New Year. The couple knew they were going to have twins, but they didn’t even know what a surprise their children had prepared for them. It was 23:45 on December 31 when the boy, who was later named Alfredo, was born. But his sister Eileen was born just after midnight. It turns out that her date of birth is January 1, 2022.
And Eileen is the first child who was born in this medical center in 2022.
“That’s so amazing that they are twins, and they have different birthdays. It’s great that my daughter was born after midnight,” – said the happy mother.
This situation surprised the hospital staff as well.
“This was one of the most memorable births I have witnessed in my career. I was pleased to help these kids arrive here safely in 2021 and 2022. What a great way to start the New Year!” – said the family doctor of the center Ana Abril Arias.
