At 61, Madonna is absolutely happy. There could be various twists and turns in her personal life, but there were always children around, whom she loves madly and is proud of them. Two of them – daughter Lourdes and 17-year-old Rocco – are her biological children, and the other 4 are adopted.
It was not difficult for the pop-star to decide on adoption. She was actively engaged in charity work, and after another trip to Malawi, she definitely decided that her family should be replenished with foster children.
In one of the shelters, she saw David, and realized that this baby was her destiny. The boy was ill and very weak, and there was little chance of his recovery in Malawi. Then Madonna made every effort to help him recover, and began to collect documents for adoption.
But it wasn’t that simple. According to the laws of Malawi, custody can be obtained by a person who has been living in the country for the last 1.5 years. And besides, David’s grandmother and father were alive, which also complicated the process.
But the merits of the singer and her contribution to helping the country could not go unnoticed, because the country’s authorities contributed to the fact that Madonna’s family was replenished with another baby.
David turned out to be a very capable boy. When his mother noticed his craving for football, she immediately moved with her family to Portugal, where she found an excellent football school for her son.
Later, Madonna’s family was replenished with another baby – Mercy James. The expectant mother met her during a visit to the hospital. The girl had a complex form of malaria. This time there were also problems with adoption, and again the President of Malawi came to the rescue.
But the pop diva didn’t stop there. A few years later, Madonna adopted two more children – twins Estere and Stelle.
They have lived in the shelter all their lives, and it was difficult to get used to a new family. But the love and care of their mother, brothers and sisters helped them get used to it quickly.
The twins love music, and Madonna often posts videos with them on her social media accounts.
