Princess Anne told about the last day of Queen Elizabeth ll’s life

“To my mother, the Queen, thank you!”

The princess maintained a close relationship with her mother throughout her life and was by her side when the monarch passed away.

Anne, the only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, announced the death of her mother on the official website of the Royal Family and on the social network.

Princess Anne said that she spent the last day of the monarch’s life with her: “I was lucky enough to survive the last 24 hours of my beloved mother’s life. It was an honor and a privilege for me to accompany her on her last journey. I was humbled and encouraged that so many people showed their love and respect along the way.

Each of us has a unique memory of her. Thank you to everyone who shares our sense of loss.

Her death reminded us of how much we took her presence and her contribution to our national identity for granted. I am also very grateful for the support of my dear brother Charles when he assumed the new duties of the monarch.

To my mother, the Queen, thank you,” Anne wrote in her “Statement from the Royal Princess.”

Princess Anne is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, and the second child after King Charles III. She currently ranks 16th in the line of succession to the throne.

Queen Elizabeth II passed away on the evening of September 8. Until her death, she was the reigning monarch of the Kingdom of Great Britain and the Commonwealth. Elizabeth became not only the longest-reigning monarch in the history of the British Empire, but also the longest-reigning head of state in the world.

The British throne rightfully passed to Prince Charles. The new King of Great Britain is 73 years old.
