For almost a month, the town of Rutherglen in Lanarkshire, Scotland, has been the subject of a spectacular wave of burglaries. The burglars, however, seem not so interested in valuable items. The only thing they have been stealing, are socks.
Tracey Chambers, a resident of his town, adopted a white and ginger cat over a month ago. She named him Charlie.
Turns out, the cat has an overflowing passion for socks. He has been stealing socks from different places and bringing them home.
“I would be much better if he ‘stole’ the mice wandering in my garden”, the woman said laughing.
“We have various models: pink, yellow, purple with hearts. This is enough for a collection”, Tracy told the Daily Record.
Tracy finds her cat’s actions funny. Once she even was interested where Charlie was wandering. The last time, Charlie brought a white lace stocking from a neighbor’s house.
Tracy needs a cat collar with GPS, if she wants to find Charlie’s victims.
