Unique dog walks 4 miles a day to greet everyone

There’s even a statue in his honor

Bruno is used to walking 4 miles a day just to see everyone and greet them. He has been doing this for the last 12 years!

Bruno has been visiting Longville, Minnesota, since childhood. People named him Wandering Dog.

Larry LaVelle came across the dog on the street and saved him. 12 years later a passer-by mistook him for his dog, so Larry decided to adopt him. Bruno still didn’t want to give up on his adventurous nature, despite all the efforts of his owner.

People always call Larry to let him know they have found his dog. And every time he has to explain everyone, that Bruno is just an “adventurer”.

Larry is also used to telling those on the phone to let the dog go, which usually confuses them. Bruno is just different! He can manage long distances on his own. People in Longville are getting used to seeing Bruno wandering alone.

The dog even has favorite places, where people greet him with some treats – the city hall, an ice cream shop, grocery stores, bookstores, some office buildings, etc. People in the small town admire the dog so much, they have even built a statue in his honor. They call him the “City Dog”.
