Lucie was literally shining during her performance!
Simon Cowell doubted the ability of Lucie James to perform Whitney Houston’s “I’ll Always Love You” on the stage of the X Factor. However, he was wrong!
Lucie James is an 18-year-old student from a small village in Wales. “I really want to get out of the village and seek bigger stages”, said the girl.
Before her performance, Lucie’s mother said in an interview: “For a determined girl like her, this is an amazing opportunity to pursue her dreams and make them come true”.
Lucie was literally shining during her performance!
At first, the unexperienced girl got a little nervous on the stage and failed the beginning of the song. However, she eventually regained her confidence, and her voice improved a lot. Simon even started smiling, when he noticed this dramatic change.
After the amazing performance, the jury encouraged the young singer with lots of compliments.
“I somehow liked your nervousness at the beginning. It means that you yourself don’t realize how amazing you are!”, said Cheryl. “I think we should look out for you, Lucie. You have a great potential”, she added.
Louis Walsh said: “Some people were born singer. And you made yourself a singer. I can see, that your life will change after this”.
“This is why we came to Wales!”, said Simon with a bright smile. “One of the most difficult songs to perform of all times. But you were not trying to sing like Whitney Houston. You chose your own way, and it was amazing! You are an extremely talented girl, I like you!”, he added.
The young lady couldn’t believe her ears! All of the judges said “yes to Lucie. And the girl immediately left the stage to celebrate her success with her parents.
