The whale was jealous of her favorite male worker
This adorable whale is madly in love with one of the zoo employees. She is even jealous of his female co-workers. One time the whale poured water over the aquarium staff out of her jealousy.
Tina, the cute whale, sank down, swallowed some water than spat it out on one of the employee.
The employee explained, that Tina did it because she was standing next to her crush.
It is really hard to believe this story, but the fact is, that the an always makes Tina laugh and raises a sweet smile on her face. The man claimed, that he was the first employee to help Tina get used to her new surroundings.
He was very attentive and caring. Obviously, very soon Tina started liking the man and became jealous of him. To prove this point, the female employees asked Tina to kiss them. Instead of actually kissing the females on the lips, Tina just snorts and turns away. But she always gives her favorite man a sweet kiss on the lips.
Then the other male workers took part in the kissing test. They wanted to figure out whether she would kiss other males or she is actually in love with that one exact man. When they approached her and asked for a kiss, Tina again turned away and left. Beluga whales are really intelligent.
According to the Smithsonian Magazine, Beluga whales receive verbal and non-verbal signs before diving. So it is not surprising that she acts this way with her trainers.
Tina needed new friends, so the staff placed her with other Beluga whales in the same aquarium.
There are two male whales with the in the aquarium. The staff suggested she joined the whole pod eventually so that they would accept her. Finally, she made friends with the male whales and the staff was happy to witness the changes in Tina’s behavior.
Hope now Tina doesn’t feel lonely and will stop spitting water on the aquarium employees.
