German shepherds love to hug their beloved humans
Laura and her husband wanted to get a new dog after the death of their German shepherd. “I want Rusty to love me at least half as much as I love my husband”.
However, the woman had no idea she would end up third wheeling her husband and the dog.
Laura admitted that she and her husband were too attached to the German shepherd and his loss brought a huge grief into their family. One day, one of their friends who works in a local animal shelter, sent the a few photos of a dog named Rusty.
Just like their previous dog, Rusty also has hanging ears. This feature made the couple fall in love with the dog. At that time Rusty was living at the Animal Protection Service Miami-Dade.
All Rusty needed was a kind family and caring owners.
At first, the dog had some problems with the husband. However, over time they became inseparable friends. “They ump on the sofa together and after a few minutes you can find them sleeping in each other’s arms”, says Laura.

Very soon Laura found herself third wheeling her husband and Rusty. Every evening at 10p.m. the husband and the dog go to bed. Laura joins them a little later and can barely find some space on her own bed. Rusty takes up as much space as possible.
They hug each other all the time. “This is so unfair! I can’t even sleep peacefully in my own bed!”, complains Laura jokingly.
