“The Giant Dog”: People mistake this huge dog for a pony or even a lion

Central Asian Shephards are not meant for beginner dog owners

Kenzo is a colossal Central Asian Shepherd. His owner has recently shared about his tips of taking care of his giant pet. As he says, strangers sometimes mistake him for a predator.

Jamal Miah, the owner, adopted the dog in 2020. Currently he is 187 pounds in weight and is 6 feet tall when he stand on his hind legs. Miah mentioned that most of the time people get scared and change their way when they see us walking towards them. But there are also those who want to pet the dog. Some people stop to ask what breed he is and how Jamal manages to take care of him.

Jamal has two daughters, and they were terrified when their father brought the giant home.

It took the girls some time to get used to the unrealistic sizes of the dog. Now he is their guardian and protector. Kenzo was initially living with one of Miah’s friends. The man was forced to give him away when he grew too big to be handled. This is when Jamal decided he was ready to take care of the dog, even though it would cost him quite much.

So far, Jamal has spent over $12.000 on Kenzo. Most of the money is spent on the dog’s food. As Jamal has noted, the dog consumes as much as 5 pounds of raw meat a day. Jamal also had to build iron gates around his yard to keep Kenzo from escaping. As they are outdoor dogs, Kenzo always wants to be outside, in freedom.

Miah warned that Central Asian Shephards are not meant for beginner dog owners. But he also admitted that Kenzo was the best addition for his family.
