Thea liked painting her nails and once painted one of Elliot’s nails while they talked. Later, he learned she had been sexually assaulted.
Elliot promised to keep his nail painted to remember her and her suffering. This led him to start the #PolishedMan movement. Men paint one nail to represent the one in five children who suffer sexual abuse.
Polished Man aims to stop violence against kids. Men, responsible for 96% of this violence, need to lead the change to end it.
The painted nail starts conversations about child abuse and encourages new ways to prevent it. Donations support programs for child survivors.
