After receiving a terrible service, this couple scribbled something on the receipt. The waiter didn’t expect such a surprise for sure

One day, in the evening, Mackenzie and Steven Schultz from the USA decided to visit a Japanese restaurant. The dinner, to be honest, didn’t succeed. The service was just terrible, and they had to wait for the sushi for 2 hours. Many visitors lost patience and left the restaurant still hungry. The Schultz couple, however, let a $100 tip…

Mackenzie explained everything on her Facebook page:

“So, the service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for water, 40min for appetizer, and more than an hour we waited for sushi. The people there started kidding around saying this couldn’t be tolerated. They were right. It was terrible. Apparently, the reason was the shortage of manpower, and not because the waiter was slow. He was the only one running around and was never rude to anyone. He was serving 12 tables and the bar. No one is able to do this! Watching him run to every table, apologizing for being late, I told Steven: ‘Wow, we used to be like him serving the hall… I don’t miss that life, and the work we used to do I never really liked’. We decided to do something pleasant for him that evening. After all he hardly got any tips. Everyone scolded him for bad service. We left before he saw the receipt. I wanted to post this as a reminder not to jump to conclusions without understanding the situation properly. And always remember where you came from”.

“We’ve both been in your shoes” – the couple wrote on the receipt. Well, we just have to applaud for such a generous act. Always, ALWAYS remember who and what you used to be…
