The guy jumped into the frozen water without hesitation to save a drowning dog

In one of the suburbs of New York something terrible happened: a dog fell into Frozen water, and a man went to save it. Obviously, the dog had no chance to survive, however this man from a small town managed to achieve great success.

This happened on February 14. A young man decided to jump into water to save the dog. There was a small helpless terrier in the water.

No one knew for sure how long the dog was in the water, however the man immediately dared to go under the ice and save the little creature. Two witnessed told about his deed.

As for this man, he owned two dogs, which he walked near the river. His dogs go for a walk here literally every day. The man thought that the walk with his dogs was over and it was time they went home. Then an owner of another dog came to him and asked, whether he had seen his dog. The man said he hadn’t seen his dog, but would like to help him look for it.

After 10 minutes of search, he didn’t find anything, so he decided that the owner had already found his dog. He headed home with his dogs. They were almost out of the park, when one of his dogs noticed a terrible picture.

At first the man thought they noticed a duck on the water. The man started calling his dogs, but they did not respond, after which he managed to hear several squeaks. As the man said later, it was his dogs to tell him something was wrong there. Having noticed this, the man rushed to the river. A woman, who was walking around this place, also went to the rescue.

The man decided to save the dog by all means. He gave all his clothes and expensive things to the woman, and went into the water.

Of course, it was clear that the rescuers would arrive only in a few minutes, and it might’ve already been too late. The ice was not too thick, and the man realized the river wasn’t that deep. In order to get to the dog, the man even broke the ice with his elbows.

As one of the witnesses said, not everyone would dare to go into frozen water to save a dog. But this man did!

The man himself told he was glad the dog wasn’t a St. Bernard. He said, it was a lot easier to get to the dog, than to get out with it. Therefore, he had to throw the dog to the woman, who had by that time also got into water to help.

Two women, who were walking their dogs there, saw the man carrying the small dog on his hands. One of them took a picture of the scene, and posted it on social media.

The dog was later examined by doctors and sent home. The dog’s savior never got in touch with its owner. Even after this deed, the man doesn’t consider him a hero. As he said, his dogs helped him do it.

This act does deserve attention!
