Somehow, I am not used to being surprised at anything in my life. But here, I was not even surprised, but rather struck by the accuracy and frequency with which gypsy girls get married. The difference between generations is 12 years. By Gypsy standards the family is considered successful. None of them interrupted their “marriage” chain , which was apparently passed down from generation to generation.
This custom is not welcome in Russia and this kind of information is not generally tolerated there. Well, this is a rule to them. There’s nothing you can do with it. Still, none of us, hopefully, would like their daughter get married at the age of 12…too early…
Gypsy girls in fact become young moms too early. And the family that we are now talking about became quite popular on the social networks. Many people judge them, of course, from different points of view. However, popularity brought them neither money, nor happiness. Why?
It’s known, that they don’t really like to work, i.e. do manual work. However, people surely are different. But usually, Gypsy families “get together” in a camp: it’s more pleasant, more comfortable, and they are more used to living this way. Well, these people are nomadic, so they also need to somehow adapt to different life circumstances. And when there are more than one family, it becomes easier to overcome difficulties.
Why do they do that? What prompted them to this? They are definitely not afraid to give birth to children. Their ideology doesn’t include “first we’ll stand on our own feet, then think about children.
However, there are also gypsies that have got into senses and live with “European standards”. And there are those who live in a camp, and it’s their choice. If we take this family – this is not the only “triple” line for them. The “grandmother” already has 7 children and 8 grandchildren. And she’s only 36! ) Is it easy to be a young grandmother? Could you be one?
And all the difficulties they overcome together. For instance, did you know that gypsies never let each other alone? by “each other” I mean those from the camp. They may not be blood relatives, but still there’s a bond between them. Also they don’t trust their children to anyone, even the government.
In short, they live their own way. It’s neither easy, nor hard to live like this. They have their own principles and are one of the oldest people in the world.
And that’s why we would like to tell you about them and this specific family. Of course, it’s good to be a young grandmother and a young mother. But at least raise the granddaughter, and only then wed her with someone. What’s the hurry?
