“Reward Offered!”: A ‘really bad case’ of animal cruelty in Waco is being investigated

Thousands of dollars have already been spent on the dog’s veterinary care

A dog was found wandering the streets of Waco wearing a collar so tight that caused a severe laceration on its neck. The Heart of Texas Lost & Found Pets and Cribs For Canines groups offer $500 reward for any information about the owner of the dog, that can lead to their arrest.

Thousands of dollars have already been spent on the dog’s veterinary care, according to Michelle Ann, a representative of Cribs for Canines. The group shared on their Facebook: “Someone definitely knows who the owner is!”.

McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara confirmed, that the sheriff’s office is investigating a ‘really bad case’. He noted, that some of the deputies have visited the dog in the shelter and talked to the vets to find out more about the animal’s well-being.

According to the sheriff, the dog was neither tagged not chipped. “It’s the worst case I’ve ever seen”.

If you are willing to help the dog with donation, reach out to Cribs for Canines.
