Cynthia Bailey is enjoying being single!
“I am not married anymore,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Saturday.
The former star of Real Housewives of Atlanta got married to Mike Hill, a Fox Sports reporter, in 2020. But they told everyone they were not together anymore in October 2022, and they finished their divorce in December last year.
Since then, Bailey has been going on dates and tells PEOPLE she’s even met someone she likes. But they’re taking it slow.

“It’s going okay, it’s going okay,” she says about her dating life. “I really like someone I’m dating, but we’re not rushing. I’m still open to going on dates with other people.”
“My special person might be out there somewhere,” Bailey jokes to PEOPLE about maybe finding a date during the festival. “I don’t know if I found my special person yet, but I’m still looking for them.”
“It doesn’t have to end with us getting married,” she says about being in a relationship. “I just want love, and I just want my partner. I just want my special person, that’s it. If we end up getting married, then that’s okay, but that’s not my main focus.”

Bailey used to be a model and started her own business. She says she’s just a regular person and is excited about finding the right person in the future.
“I’m actually really down-to-earth and normal, and I’m excited to meet my special person,” she says.
As for her job, Bailey says she’s focused on acting now, but she had fun going back to The Real Housewives of Atlanta this season.
“I still have some good friendships with a lot of the ladies on the show, so it was fun this season to just pop in and say hello,” she explains.
But she adds that right now, “my main focus is my acting career, and that’s what’s important to me in this new chapter of my life.”
Last month, an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta showed the moment when Bailey’s divorce from Hill, who is 52, was finished last year.

“Guess who’s officially not married!” the owner of the Bailey Agency told her friend Kenya Moore when she met her at the start of the episode.
“Aw, is your divorce done?” Moore, who is 52, asked.
“It’s official,” Bailey said. “Aw, congratulations, honey. I mean, I don’t want to be happy…” Moore said as she hugged her co-star.
“It’s like a happy sad,” Bailey admitted.
When she filed for divorce in October last year, Bailey shared a statement with PEOPLE. She said she had given the marriage her “all” and was “thankful” for her friendship with Hill.
“God doesn’t make mistakes! I really believe that Mike coming into my life was meant to be. I jumped into the marriage with all my heart,” she said at the time.
“Even though that part of my life is over,” Bailey continued, “I’m grateful for our friendship and the good memories we made together. If it’s meant to be, I will find love again. Whatever happens will happen, and I’m looking forward to the next part of my life!”
Hill also gave a statement at the time. He said: “I love Cynthia, and I will always love her because she is an amazing woman and a beautiful person.”
